By bus

Now one of the most popular methods of getting to Rainbow Lodge.

Buses leave daily from Virak Buntham bus office on Street 106 at riverside next to the night market (near post office) at 7am and 11:45am. The cost is $10. Telephone 012 322302

There are other companies running buses too.

Please ask to be let off in Tatai (over the 4th bridge, called 'Phum Doung Bridge')

Taxi

Rainbow Lodge can arrange a taxi for you for $75 which will pick you up from your home/hotel in Phnom Pehn.

Taxis for your return journey can also be arranged at the same price.

Car/motorbike

Parking can be arranged for cars and motorbikes at a private residence in Tatai. Please let us know in advance.

Please note this is not guaranteed to be secure and owners do so at their own risk. However, we have not had problems so far and many guests have done this.

Local transport

There are many ‘charcoal and chicken’ minibuses that go to and from Phnom Penh. Be warned: these are cramped, uncomfortable and may very well break down. However, they are cheap and a good way to see the real Cambodian way of travel. These minibuses will only leave when full.

Shared Taxis

These too are cramped (two in front passenger seat and at least four in the back) and the driving is enough to make your hair stand on end. Price approximately 50,000 riel but you can haggle. These taxis will only leave when full.
