We offer unique treks from Rainbow Lodge to the beautiful Tatai Waterfall and also to a lake area upstream from the falls. These treks offer a taste of the true jungle, an opportunity to observe wildlife and has the added bonus of a stunning locations to swim, relax and enjoy a picnic lunch.

Treks are conducted by one of our Khmer guides, who are enthusastic and great at spotting things of interest. Gee also guides the trek on days if the others are unavailable. He loves the bugs!

The treks range from approximately 1½ hours to a full day trek. All provide a sense of achievement and the chance to cool off in beautiful surroundings.

Pricing

For residents the trek is an additional $15 per adult, including a picnic lunch, soft drink and guide. Children over the age of 13 and under 18 pay half price ($7.50) and children under 13 trek for free. A BBQ can be provided at an additional $3.00 per person.

$1.50 from each trek goes into the Rainbow Lodge Tatai Village Fund, which is used on projects in the village, such as school improvements and road/bridge improvements.

Dangerous Animals

There are snakes, scorpions and spiders on the trek; some are poisonous. However, generally these animals are shy and avoid human contact. Respect for nature and a live and let live policy are adopted. A medical kit is available for bites and stings, etc. Comprehensive medical care is available in Koh Kong or Thailand.
