Dining and the Bar

Fabulous Food

Steamed fish with lemongrass

Our food, which is all included in the price of the room, is fresh, delicious and sourced locally, wherever possible; some is even grown at Rainbow Lodge.

Our Khmer cooks provide a true taste of Khmer cuisine, with Western and vegetarian options always available on our varied menu.

Frequent visits to our local market in Koh Kong or local produce purchased in Tatai ensure freshness and the best catch of the day. Emphasis is placed on seasonal produce to reduce the environmental impact of transport.

We use organic Kurata Pepper to support local farmers in the Cardamom Mountains, and to give you local flavour.

Dining Area

Our spacious sun room provides a perfect place to relax, eat, and have a quiet drink. Our bar menu includes wines, beers, spirits and liqueurs as well as a range of soft drinks.

Breakfasts and lunches

Noodle soup

Breakfasts and lunches offer such dishes as omelettes, baguettes, Khmer style soup, rice and noodles, salads and our own design oven melts

Breakfast can be served on your own private balcony if desired. Unlimited tea and coffee are served at breakfast.

Lunches can be taken at Rainbow Lodge or picnics can be provided if you wish to take one of our various day trips.

Evening Dining

There's plenty more where this came from

Our usual evening meal consists of a daily-changing, three-course menu. Each day you are given the choice of three starters (first courses), three main meals and three desserts.

Vegetarian and Western dishes are always on offer. Special dietary requirements can also be catered for given notice.

Here are some example menus served on 20/06/2008, 27/06/2008 and 11/07/2008

On occasion we offer guests a BBQ evening, with all the trimmings. Other times, especially at busier times, we provide a buffet-style selection.

Seafood is one of Koh Kong's specialities: prawns, fresh fish, squid and shellfish regularly appear on our varied menus.
