A period of voluntary work in Koh Kong’s Botum Sakor national park led to the building of Rainbow Lodge. I thoroughly enjoyed my 10 weeks of living in the jungle collecting data on the flora and fauna of the area so much so that the seeds of an idea were planted. I was sure that other people would like to get close to nature too but there were not so many opportunities in a country like Cambodia where tourism is booming but facilities are a long way behind. How also then to help? Build somewhere for tourists who want to get off the beaten track, to stay and, at the same time, benefit the local community and hopefully help them embrace tourism as a positive not a negative thing. 
Building Rainbow Lodge 
Health and safety at work! January 1st 2008 saw the opening of Rainbow Lodge. Not 100% finished even now but up and running and we believe with many a satisfied customer We would like to invite you to a new sort of travelling experience. |
